Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or ASCP Certification as a Cytotechnologist, grandfather clause
- Minimum Experience: Three to five years in a cytology lab as a certified cytotechnologist. Proven interpretive skill.
Required Courses/Certification/Licensure:
- Graduate of ASCP approved cytotechnologist school
- California Cytotechnologist license
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists - CT(ASCP) is preferred
