Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- B.A. in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
- Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
- 3+ years of experience in communications/writing, preferably in non-profit, academic or medical setting.
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Experience in transition/change management communications preferred
- Story mining, planning, interviewing, writing various types of materials, development campaigns, editing
- Microsoft Office, PoliteMail, Adobe Creative
- Experience with project management.
- Experience in collaborating with various departments and teams within an organization
- Budgeting, strategic planning, public speaking, collateral production, negotiation.
- Strategic thinking
- Excellent written communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective time management
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Comfort learning about and explaining complex issues
