Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
Prior relevant experience with instructional design, content development, training, education, presentations, etc., especially in a hospital or healthcare provider environment, preferred
- At least 3 years of experience working in a hospital/healthcare environment
- Experience with EHR software instructional design, training, application implementation(s), etc., as a healthcare provider employee or consultant to healthcare providers
- Certification in an Epic functional area: Departmental, Clinical, Revenue Cycle application strongly preferred
- A Bachelor's Degree with a training, education, clinical and/or technical major (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- 3+ years of experience managing training projects, resource plans, risk mitigation strategies
- At least 5 years’ experience and expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Visio
- Strong facilitation and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to assess risk impact to project
- Coordinate and communicate with process stakeholders
Listen and suggest ways to complement or assist the work of others
Motivate key process stakeholders including Nurses, Physicians, and other clinical and administrative staff
Preferred education experience and skills:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
2 years of experience in employee development and training programs.
Credentialed in one or more EPIC applications.
Bachelors in Education, Human Behavior, Health Care, Education Technology, or related field
Required Courses/Training:
EPIC Certification
Certified in other healthcare systems
2+ years previous Credentialed Training experience in an Epic application
Experience delivering a combination of classroom, online, and one-on-one training
Classroom and/or virtual facilitation of training.
Knowledge of IT development, implementation and training of systems.
Clinical and/or operational Health Care experience and knowledge is preferred
