Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited school or Masters equivalent
Minimum Experience:
- Entry level position, no experience required but interest in oncology preferred
Req. Certification/Licensure:
- Current Physical Therapist license in the State of California or PTLA status in the state of California
- CPR Certification
- For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire or when hours attained.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in practicing managed care and payor regulations
Skills/Abilities:
- Foster and promote a positive and professional image
- Answer telephones
- Interview others
- Prepare reports
- Instruct/train others
- Analyze data
- Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills
Machines/Equipment:
- Basic Computer skills for EMR documentation
- Wheelchair and assistive devices
- Rehabilitation modalities
Working / Environmental Conditions:
- Atmosphere and environment associated with patient care areas
- Atmosphere and environment associated with outpatient care areas
- Tobacco-free campus
- May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
- Contact with patients/patient families under varied circumstances
- Subject to situations involving grief processes & related issues
Physical Demands:
- Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs.)
- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking
- Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
- Lifts supplies/equipment
- Intermittent exertion when performing treatments
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
