Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Master’s Degree Nursing or BSN with masters in related/complementary field required.   Experience may substitute for educational requirement with VP approval.
  • (3) Years experience in clinical nursing and/or quality, risk and regulatory activities.
  • Ambulatory experience.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to patient care and privacy
  • Fosters and promotes a positive image and professional appearance
  • Sensitivity to intercultural relations
  • Excellent oral/written communications and organizational skills
  • Ability to foster positive relationships and excitement in quality efforts.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of computer applications in a medical practice setting.
  • Ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians and employees at all levels throughout the organization and the public.
  • Excellent public relations, problem-solving, human relations, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to proceed on own initiative using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to make challenging decisions, influence and drive change.
  • Ability to assist in clinic transformation, including implementation of new systems.
  • Ability to streamline and standardize care across multiple disciplines.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with leadership in other clinical and administrative departments.
  • Driving to various clinic locations 3-4 days/week using own vehicle.
 

Required Certification/Licensure:

  • RN in California
  • Valid California Driver’s license.
 

Preferred education experience and skills:

  • Master’s degree in nursing, health or business emphasis (MHA, MBA, MPH, etc).
  • Specialty certification (CPHQ) preferred
  • Oncology experience
  • Six sigma, performance improvement/lean methodology experience.
  • Understanding research components and research functions.
  • Experience with clinic transformation and change management
 
Additional Information:
  • This position requires up to 75% travel
