Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Minimum Education:
- High School or equivalent
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
- Minimum Experience:
- 0-3 years of related experience, depending on training
Required Courses/Training:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR
- Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
Required Certification/Training:
- Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
- Registration by ARRT plus 24 months course in radiologic technology
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (adult and pediatric)
Preferred skills:
- IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
- SRS (Stereotactic Radiation Surgery)
- SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
- TBI (Total Body Irradiation Therapy)
- TBE (Total Body Skin Electrons Therapy)
- CT based Simulation
- Displays professional attitude and appearance
- Provides clinical instruction and/or supervises students
- Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills
Additional Information:
- This position is per diem; multiple Radiation Therapist (per diem) roles available
