Radiation Therapist I - Radiation Oncology

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

• Minimum Education:
  • High School or equivalent
  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
• Minimum Experience:
  • 0-3 years of related experience, depending on training

Required Courses/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR
• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program

Required Certification/Training:

• Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
• Registration by ARRT plus 24 months course in radiologic technology
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (adult and pediatric)

Preferred skills:

• IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
• SRS (Stereotactic Radiation Surgery)
• SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
• TBI (Total Body Irradiation Therapy)
• TBE (Total Body Skin Electrons Therapy)
• CT based Simulation
• Displays professional attitude and appearance
• Provides clinical instruction and/or supervises students
• Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills

Additional Information:

• This position is per diem; multiple Radiation Therapist (per diem) roles available
