Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, business administration, research administration, science, or related field.
- 3 years of business management experience in an academic research or healthcare environment including 2 years of progressively responsible management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management, extramural fund management, and financial management.
- Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically.
- Agility and flexibility (“grace under fire”).
- Comfortable navigating business and finance issues in a matrix portfolio environment.
- Being proactive/taking initiative.
- Skillful strategic communications with stakeholders.
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Master’s Degree in business administration or Healthcare administration.
- AIRI, NCURA or SRA Certification.
- Five or more years of business management experience in an academic research or healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in the following software preferred: MS Access, MS Visio, MS Outlook, Peoplesoft, InfoEd, API and Webex/Zoom.
