Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • Must have at least 5 years of managerial/leadership experience in campaign management, events management, or philanthropic consulting.

Preferred education experience and skills:

  • Masters in similar field (preferably healthcare administration, business or public health)
  • Strong understanding of the issues, nuances and needs of research, teaching and clinical operations in a complex health sciences research and/or research university environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in a fundraising operations or campaign management role in the context of a comprehensive or initiatives-based campaigns
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects from inception to completion, adhering to deadlines, within budget, quality and desired outcomes/metrics.
  • Demonstrated skill in researching and evaluating information, preparing concise, well-organized reports, summaries, correspondence, policy documents and personalized letters.
  • Proven experience creating and delivering clear/concise communications, and an ability to speak and document in a summarized fashion.
  • Advanced knowledge of practices and procedures associated with building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of volunteers, as well as internal and external constituencies.
  • Ability to establish professional working relationships and interact effectively with diverse groups having competing interests and priorities within the enterprise and community.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs, collaborate, and communicate well. Additionally, a high level of attention to detail and the project management components of the position.
  • Possess expert planning, managing and coordinating skills.
  • Expertise in event budgets, logistics and nuances.
  • Skilled negotiator with event venues, vendors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with executives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Superior project management, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Employs tact and discretion and is motivated, self-directed, confident and a self-starter.
  • Extensive project management experience

Additional Information:
