Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must have at least 5 years of working as a Planned Giving Professional with a sophisticated development or fundraising operation or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 3 years of management experience.

Preferred education experience and skills:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • JD preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience in direct management of fundraising programs including planned gifts programs preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise in fundraising and various planned giving techniques, both legal and tax areas
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analyze data
  • Compose correspondence and proposals
  • Conduct presentations
  • Document activities
  • Instruct classes/trainings
  • Prepare reports
  • Research information
  • Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Windows required
  • Database knowledge preferred
  • Planned Giving or other fundraising applications preferred (PG Calc, Crescendo)
  • Atmosphere and environment associated with an office setting; Occasionally subjected to irregular hours
  • Travel
