Staff Scientist - Mass Spectrometry Core
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry or related fields is desired.
- Prior training and research experience in the field of mass spectrometry
Preferred education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Experienced in experimental design, technical execution, data analysis and presentation of mass spectrometry findings
- Peer-reviewed publication track record in mass spectrometry, quantitative proteomics and/or metabolomics with a focus in cancer biology, diabetes, molecular pathways and signal transduction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in sample preparation and mass spectrometric analyses of proteins, peptides, small molecules and lipids on a variety of instruments, including Orbitrap mass spectrometers (MS), triple quadrupole MS, quadrupole TOF MS, liquid chromatography systems, and data processing.
- Skilled in project management, reporting and budgeting of experiments
