Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Greater than 7 years of healthcare experience in area of expertise required.

Required Certification/Licensure:

  • EPIC certification (may obtain in the 1st year).

Preferred education experience and skills:

  • Master’s in Nursing preferred
  • Preferred good working knowledge of Epic features and functionality.
  • Ability to translate user needs and train others.
  • The ideal candidate embodies the core value of “patients first”.
  • Is a strong leader with a mature sense of priorities and solid practical experience who can design and implement systems within the framework of technical boundaries, yet know when to challenge the same boundaries if deemed impediments to patient safety or provider adoption. 
  • Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization’s mission, vision and values as well as the desired end state of an integrated electronic health record.
  • Has clinical workflow knowledge. Must be aware of safety standards and understand patient privacy issues as mandated by HIPAA.
  • Knowledgeable about policies, procedures and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Demonstration of solid and effective written interpersonal, oral and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to communicate and train in innovative, non-traditional and informative approaches.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants. 
  • Ability to monitor action items and ensure their completion.
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, assess and reallocate work in order to meet deadlines.
  •  Ability and commitment to meet aggressive deadlines and cope in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to analyze and document workflow and clinical processes.
  • Ability to assess, analyze, represent and translate clinical needs/requirements into appropriate systems development requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate, plan and mitigate impact of clinician workflow changes as a result of technology implementation. 
  • Is diplomatically savvy, with the ability to anticipate and diffuse resistance from peers. 
  • Ability to identify, analyzes, solve problems and focus on results through positive interactions. Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor at all times during normal and pressure situations.
  • Ability to conduct literature reviews, survey peer institutions and track industry trends, upon which to base recommendations. 
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines.

Additional Information:
